Project: Solar and Green Home Tour

PEC - Putney Solar & Green Energy Home Tour was a great success, thanks to all the home owners on the tour, and the PEC group that pulled it off - thanks to everyone!

The tour was on the third weekend of May (17th-18th) from 10am - 4pm - 2008

We had a wide variation of green and solar homes to visit, from passive solar homes with radiant floor heating, to homes with active hot water and hot air systems. We will highlight several photo voltaic (PV) arrays, a windmill or two, and a Solar wall, along with different building techniques that provide superior summer and winter performance with very little additional cost.

A total of 17 homes were on the tour, many were open house.

PEC members provided two guided tours each day, with additional homes not open to the public.

Download our poster, or the map with schedual and details here...or pick it up at PEC central.

Will we do it again - you bet!
