Project: CFL Bulb Drive

The CFL Bulb represents a great achievement in technology, putting out a wide variety of light but using less than 1/4 as much energy. PEC encourages all area residents to convert as many light bulbs as possible to save energy, money and the environment.

CFL Bulb Drive Goals: to distribute 1000 CFLs in Putney and an additional 500 bulbs for Dummerston and 20,000 bulbs in Brattleboro (Dec15th - Feb 15th).

    CFL Drive results:
So far PEC has received over $177.25 in donations.
We have distributed over 2275 bulbs to Putney residents.
We have donated 28 light bulbs to municipal and nonprofit organizations.

Putney School and Landmark Collage have been hard at work and their total bulb numbers change approach 850bulbs.

This brings the total count to over 3000bulbs! - PEC still has bulbs for $1.00

Donations made to PEC cover the cost of projects, costs like bikes racks, and parts for the bike project, advertising (paper and printing) and some shipping costs for more light bulbs for non-profit organizations and municipal buildings.

All bulbs are distributed at cost to area residents!

PEC has reached our goal is to distribute 1000 bulbs and also to get people more aware of
how much energy they use in their homes and businesses. We continue to offer light bulbs at cost to area residents. We are available to help replace light bulbs, install programmable thermostats, and occupancy sensors and provide energy audits and advise.

PEC is working with and has received support from Efficiency Vermont and
the Putney Selectboard on this project.

Efficiency Vermont is also sponsoring a "buy down" at participating hardware stores. You can now find CFL spiral bulbs at several participating stores for .99 cents or less.

True Value, Brown and Roberts and Home Depot.

We have a revised flier that you can use for ordering bulbs or to simply learn more about the bulbs that are available.

Please help distribute the CFL Bulb drive flyer (PDF) or CFL Bulb drive flyer (flash).
