It is critically important to divest from our reliance on nuclear power (and all conventional – dirty - forms of electric generation) and look towards a cleaner future. A future where we use our naturally renewal resources to generate the energy we need, a future where we use common sense to fully make use of the technology we have in order to conserve energy to the fullest extent possible. Changing lights, upgrading your appliances, re-insulating your home and business, not driving needlessly… These are all great things to do. But there is more! We need to encourage initiatives to bring hydro and wind power generation facilities on-line. We need state incentives and rebates for installing Solar heating and PV (Solar Electric) systems, in houses and business. We need more jobs, and those jobs are waiting to be created by these kinds of activities. Hats off to SERG for starting the process of awareness building across the state. There is so much more to do, for our planet, for our children. Get involved! Please look at the Apollo project for more information. |
